Description Paraty is a picturesque colonial city, dating back to the year 1600. Its port was the gateway from which the gold in Minas Gerais was shipped to Portugal. The centre has been declared a national monument, with its flagstone paved streets and Portuguese colonial houses and churches. It is a virtual museum within a tropical paradise. We can arrange any other travel arrangements in Brazil or South America to complement this tour. Itinerary Day 1, Rio De Janeiro - Paraty Travel by road, southbound to the beautiful colonial coastal village of Paraty. This afternoon, explore on foot the historical centre of Paraty, free of cars, and you will travel back in time, where walking has to be done in a leisurely pace due to the irregular rounded cobblestone pavement of its streets. Day 2, Paraty (Breakfast & Lunch) This morning, enjoy some relax time with a schooner cruise around the picturesque bay, including lunch on board. Afternoon and evening free to wander the streets and perhaps dine at one of Paraty’s renowned small restaurants.
